Axvoice versus Comcast

by Zach on May 26, 2011

It’s time to compare Axvoice and Comcast in order to know which company is a better VoIP service provider for the business as well as the households. There are different features which let a VoIP service provider outshine its competitors. Based on these basic qualities and features let’s see who wins, Axvoice or Comcast.

Package Charges

There are different ways of charging for calls adopted by Axvoice and Comcast. Both of them have bundled package plans for calling to different destinations in the world in which different value added features are included too. But Comcast charges lesser amount of money if you opt for more and more features. The calling plans of Comcast can be a bit too costly for those who just want to get one feature of VoIP service and don’t want many other options. While, this is not the case with Axvoice. Axvoice allows its users to pay for what they use only and its overall monthly charges are as low as $8.25 which is more than a half of what Comcast charges on monthly basis which are $33.00. Also, it is interesting to know that the bundled package plans of Comcast not just include the value added features for VoIP but they include other features like cable TV, internet and phone service. It allows only lesser charges if you opt for all these services rather than just VoIP service for calling. While, just the calling package of Comcast charges $19.99 per month which is $9.00 more than what Axvoice is charging.

Voice Quality

In voice quality, both the VoIP service providers are at a same level and both of them are using the latest fiber optic technology to deliver the communication services. Axvoice can be ranked a bit above Comcast because it is delivering higher calling at most economical rates and using the same technology standard.

Service Portability

A drawback of Comcast is that even though it is providing the customers with good bundled package deals yet it lags behind Axvoice as its service is not portable. The service of Comcast can only be used in a specific area where it is placed and it cannot be moved from place to place. This is not the case with Axvoice. Axvoice allows the users to use the VoIP service on their cell phones and laptops anytime they want to. Axvoice is great for those people who travel a lot and want to stay connected 3with the world from anywhere and at anytime. Moreover, Axvoice does no extra charges for its portability feature.

After looking at the credits and merits of both, Axvoice and Comcast it can be concluded that both are equally good for all those who want to adopt VoIP service. Comcast is good for those who like bundled packages in which internet, calling and cable TV are together while; Axvoice is good for those who solely want something good for their communication services. As here we are only concerned with the VoIP service for calling, therefore; Axvoice is a better choice due to its lower rates, portability and more than 30 value added features just for calling purposes

It is 100% true that we are getting different varieties of VoIP technology. We have VoIP TV, VoiP phone and VoIP fax. All of  them in the same line. However, as far as VoIP on fax is concerned, I don’t think its quality is acceptable in any way.

If you want to use VoIP phone for business purpose, you should go for Axvoice. However they are not very bad for home use also. Most of their plans are for home use. you can start with them even in $0. You can get unlimited plans so I don’t agree that Axvoice is better for office use.
